We have worked hard for many, many years to help hundreds of teens to overcome their struggles. We know that coming to us won’t have been your initial course of action. You will likely have tried hundreds of things yourselves, sought help from your Doctor or from your teen’s teachers. It may be that your teen is willing for you to help them and that you are on this journey together. It may be that your teen wants help but not from you right now. It may be that your teen doesn’t want help but that you want to explore how to help him or her. We work in all of these situations!
Your teen may need some more confidence in social situations or some support to meet some personal goals. We can certainly help with this.
Your teen may be struggling with feeling low, self harming, having panic attacks or struggling with eating, how they look or sleep. They may be battling feeling angry or lashing out. Some families come to us when their teen is finding it impossible to deal with a specific person or situation such as you their parent. They may be struggling with family trauma such as the loss of somebody or their parents breaking up. You may even be coming to us to help you prepare them for this time which you know is approaching.
We know that it is nearly impossible to change our own behaviour. We would like to support you to support your teen, help your teen ourselves or a mixture of the two. We would start just by meeting for two hours either at your home, by skype or at our clinic in Epsom, Surrey. During this time we will discuss what is going and some options for moving forward. Nothing scary!
